Resource area businesses should not conflict with the Parent’s Summit’s vision to encourage, equip and resource parents. They shouldn’t be required to be Christian organizations, but they shouldn’t stand in opposition to Christian parenting (obviously).
Consider contacting and inviting these businesses or similar ones:
- YMCA
- Local Christian Bookstore (to set up a book table)
- United Way
- City Pool
- City or County Health and Human Services (providing a table with information about foster care can be powerful)
- Other local foster care organizations
- Child care facilities
- Daycares
- Christian schools/private schools
- Local camps
- Children’s museums
- Christian parenting organizations
- Counseling centers of good repute
- Fun Family-based businesses (pottery-painting, etc)
